INCIDENTS OF FRAUD AND LOST CHECKS when transporting the physical checks between banks ARE PREVENTED as the new system now makes use of check images in presenting checks for clearing.
Banks can EXTEND CUT-OFF TIME FOR RECEIVING CHECK DEPOSITS.
In line with this, please be reminded that beginningJuly 1, 2017, we will no longer accept old format checks not compliant with the Philippine Clearing House Corporation’s (PCHC) new check design standards for deposit and payment.
For your convenience, kindly ensure that all checks issued are sufficiently funded prior to due date and that your checks are compliant with PCHC’s check design standards and specifications (i.e. those with a waiver and authorization statement) as shown below. For the newly-designed checks, you may order from your branch of account or via PSBank Online and PSBank Mobile.
